35th Day
Today in Betsy's math we worked on math papers about multiplication, addition and subtraction. Kim's class reviewed subtraction with regrouping. In computers we finished the cinquain poems about our painting. You can read them and hear them by going to Lelia's blog (purple 'puter lady) and then clicking on the "Student Work" link in the left column. We met with our buddies in Ruth Ann's class and read Halloween stories to them. In the afternoon some of us went into Beth's class to help measure pumpkins and predict the number of seeds. Others played Apples to Apples. When you play games, you have to read and think about the word and look for synonyms and other words that connect to them, but sometimes it is totally random. We also talked about metaphors and similes and wrote a story about "The Day I Shrunk".
